Strictly Come Scottish Charity Ball

In October, I spent many a late night organising the charity ball "Strictly Come Scottish". It proved to be a fantastic night and raised over £20,000 for CLIC Sargent, a charity in desperate need of support. It was the first big event I've ever organised so looking at the video has filled me with a great sense of pride. Some of the events team are climbing Machu Picchu in September and there are still spaces join the trek so get in touch if that's something that interests you. Here's to a repeat next year Louise and Stephen?

Charity Tuesday

Following twitter's trend of Charity Tuesday, I'm using my blog to shamelessly plug the charity ball I'm organising. Please spread word and get involved because it is such a great cause!

In aid of CLIC Sargent, at 7pm on Saturday 29th October Oran Mor's ballroom will be transformed into one of the best nights Glasgow has to offer. Hosted by Karen Dunbar, the night will include:
  • A piano and champagne reception
  • An exquisite traditional 3 course dinner prepared by Oran Mor's fine dining team led by Jeff Crawford
  • A barrel load of laughs provided by compère Karen Dunbar and stand-up comedian Gary Little
  • Table magic and a floor show by master cocktail flairer and Scottish champion, Jon O'Connor
  • Charity raffle/auction
  • Traditional Scottish dance provided by The Clan Wallace followed by Celtic folk and ceilidh band, Stramash leading you through to the wee hours
Tickets cost £70 or £840 for a table of 12 with 100% of profits going to charity. For more information, ticket sales and general banter, keep up to date on Facebook/Twitter.
